The Haunting of Playa Perdida...Part I

It's been there all this time.  It may still have remained there, undisturbed, a fine silt of ocean bottom dusting the old bones, if it wasn't for a fateful fall.

The SurfWatch outpost at Playa Perdida has been up and open for a couple months.  One of my favorite things to do there is to use the binoculars to watch all the surfers, or play with the surf bus and hear the horn beep beep in between that all important SurfWatching.

The closer we've gotten to Halloween, I've noticed objects in the outpost being moved around.  Something in one spot was now in another spot.  Chairs were found piled on top of each other with no one claiming any knowledge of it.  I was working late one night when I heard the rattle of bones.  I used the SurfWatch surf cams to view the area but I was alone on the sim.  Several nights I've been hearing a moan that sounds like a whispered , "Jay you".  I can't pinpoint the origin of the sound.  I'm guessing maybe a tropical night bird call of some sort.  And a strange mist running along the wave, mixed with the spray.  Like something is out there.  Something lost and eerie.

TO BE CONTINUED........
