Vibrations Surf Alliance (VSA) Surf Jam 7 takes place 11am SLT Saturday 13 September 2008 on Majini Island, Bishara Resorts. Open to VSA members only.

ABSSL Surf Circuit (3rd stage)
Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 September 2008 1000 hours SLT (1400 hrs BRT)


The Associação Brasileira de Surf no Second Life (Brazilian Second Life Surfing Association) or ABSSL will hold the third event in its 2008 surfing event circuit on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September at Crab Island.

Surf City Open
Sunday 14 September 2008, 1100 hrs SLT (1800 hrs GMT)


Surf City hosts the Surf City Open at Surf City South beach on Sunday 14 September 2008 starting at 11am. The competition will take place on Surf City South's double pipleline break and board-choice is wide open. The competition will also be judged by a panel of three real life surfers.

SLSA Shortboard Competition at Morant Cays
Saturday 20 September 2008 1100 hrs SLT (18 00 hrs GMT)


September's Second Life Surfing Association's (SLSA's) surfing competition for shortboards on the Epic wave at Morant Cays. This competition takes place at 11am SLT Saturday 20 September 2008. Only SLSA surfers may compete. Open for all spectators.

TCH Surfers Open 3

The third TCH Surfers Open competition will take place at 12.15pm SLT on Saturday 27 September 2008 at Saba Island, TCH Estates.Competition open to all entries on a first-come-first-served basis.

SLSA Shortboard Surfing Competition at Chi Island

Saturday 18 October 2008, 1100 hrs SLT (1800 hrs GMT)


October's Second Life Surfing Association's (SLSA's) surfing competition takes surfers back to where it all started: Chi Island, which hosted Second Life's first ever surfing competition in March 2007. This competition takes place on Saturday 18 October at 11am SLT on Chi's main pipeline surfing break. Only SLSA surfers may compete. Open for all spectators.

TCH Surfers Open 4

Surfing lessons


Bishara Surf School (weekly)

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 1000-1300 hrs SLT (1700-2000 hrs GMT)


Established two years ago now, Bishara Surf School (on the East side of Majini Island) offers open surfing classes with a maximum of two students per instructor. One-on-one coaching can be arranged by appointment. Instructors include long-time SL surfing instructor Slave Lacey, Bishara Estates Manager VW Sands, Vibrations surf team captain Buffy Munro or Vibrations co-captain QUENCH Spotter. Lessons are free, donations to the sim appreciated.

TCH Surf Classes (weekly)

Saturdays 1500 hrs SLT (2200 hrs GMT)


TCH Surf Classes have been designed to allow people new to Second Life surfing a chance to work with an experienced surfer to learn the basics of surfing. These classes cover general surfing skills, plus a few surfing tricks to help new surfers on their way to becoming competition surfers.
