32 surfers are now expected to compete in the Shortboard Pro, six less than registered for the event last time. However, most of the top 10 ranked surfers of this SLSA season have registered, with the exception of Milo Voss, who is focussing his efforts on organising the Shortboard Pro (thank you Milo!), fifth-ranked Timbo Flanagan, who it is believed is on a leave of absence from Second Life and 8th-ranked Lanelle Saunders.
Pova Rustamova, number one in this year's standings, Devinna Toll (no. 2) and Colleen Brennan (no.3) are all registered to compete and will take part in Heats 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Registered also are the top three surfers from last weekend's VSA Surf Jam event, Buffy Monro, Socks Clawtooth and ONeill Auer, who are all now down to start the Surfline competition in Heat 1, perhaps making Heat 1 a bit of a pressure cooker!
Meanwhile, despite Havok4 changes, most surfers seem to be happy with the new Surfline competition venue. "The waves are really nice," said Mateus Rieko, who will surf in Heat 5 on Saturday. "I love this sim. Everything about it is cool!"
