In a delicious combination of bikini, tats, piercings, lacings, and one of the more unique and daring combinations to be seen on the beach at Surfers Bay, Aidalinette combines her love of surf and beach in a fashion statement we're calling Surficide. We had a chance to talk to Aida about her sense of fashion and how she came up with this combination.
SurfWatch (SW): Aida, what is the name of this outfit?
Aidalinette (A): Ah, it's mostly UC's leather bikini. A bit boring, but there's only so much one can do with bikinis (laughs).
SW: With some of your own unique variation? And yes, that's why it stands out! Unique!
A: For the getas, the piercings, the laces, and the arm warmer, and the .. well, everything else, yes, but the bikini top, bottom and the belts are all from UC. Wrapped himo geta and melted heart feet chains from CX. Thigh corset from empire, swetpain pierced corset from dead dollz. Vega sides from amias. Bento armwarmer from katat0nik. Bass alert from bauhaus movement. Sorry, I always pack myself with details and accessories (laughs).
SW: Got it! I appreciate that, and I'm sure the creators of those products will appreciate, too, that we mention them!
A: The hair is really old (smiles). Probably not available anymore. It's Trouble from little bones.
SW: What would you call your style? Kinda goth but kinda alternative? We could start our own fashion phrase here (laughs).
A: That's a good question...I just do me (smiles).
SW: Galt?
A: But I suppose it's mostly suicide girl. Tats, piercings, laces, the red hair. "Suicide Girl wants to swim, too" ? (laughs).
SW: Oh wow, surficide?
A: (Laughs): Surficide Girl. That's new, for sure.
SW: Okay we just named it! (laughs).
