From absolute beginners to seasoned pros,
this series of exclusive interviews for SurfWatch aims to discover more about
the people that paddle out and face the waves at Surfer’s Bay VIP. The sim is a
surf haven for many female surfers who enjoy the camaraderie along with the
Maoli waves and one female surfer regularly seen out on her board is Suzanna
Doll (suzannafromparis). Hailing from France, Suzanna oozes Gallic charm and is
a fearless surfer, with a unique surf style. SurfWatch caught up with her to
find out more about this intriguing woman.
SW (SurfWatch): Bonjour Suzanna – you are a
truly brilliant surfer. How long have you been surfing for in SL?
SD (Suzanna Doll): It has been three years now.
SW: I see you surfing here a lot, what do
you most enjoy about surfing at the Surfer’s Bay VIP sim?
SD: I like the many parties on the beach,
the way the sim is decorated and the waves.
SW: What would you say to encourage others
to try surfing?
SD: Try it... it's fun!
SW: What is your favourite type of board –
and why?
SD: I surf on the LSD board because the
sensation of surfing is better.
SW: Surfing and listening to music are a
great combo - what music makes surfing even better?
SD: Music with rhythm…techno, house, metal.
SW: Good choice of musical genres! To find
out more about you - describe yourself in 5 words please?
SD: Intelligent, friendly, funny, wild, perfectionist!
SW: Finally – when you pack away your surf
board, what else do you enjoy doing in SL?
SD: Shopping, fashion, decorating, photography,
painting my surfboard or sailing.

Surf
at Surfer’s Bay VIP: There is a
group join fee of 500L which allows rezz rights anywhere on the sim. There is a
C-3 rezzer and Maoli waves. Members can also set their home position on the sim
plus there are male and female changing rooms in skyboxes.
