She is sweet and humble, everything you'd hope from the top surfer on the grid. Clearly, the fame hasn't gotten to her yet. We begin our questions amid the setting sun with the obligatory discussions of how she got her start. "one day i went to tsunami beach my first time surfing," Moira reflects, "there I [met] Petra and she told me about SLSA and surfing competitions". A beginning story that starts like many other stories. But, Moira gets to experience something unique; a bragging right very few in the SL Surfing Association ever achieve. Moira is on her way to her second SLSA championship!
This Saturday, December 16th 2017, surfers and surf fans from all over the grid will gather at Solace to witness the fourth SLSA surf competition of the season. If Moira wins this, the title is hers.
When asked what advice she would give to a new surfer, aspiring for the title someday, Moira offered these words of wisdom, "be passionate, love what you do , everything , and always get fun, without think in the competitions , win, or score, just do what you really want , all the rest come with time and practice"
SurfWatch: How often do you practice?
Moira: well if often means always ^^
Moira had just one more bit of advice for surfers around the grid, "I think every one deserve to be admired, everyone have his own style surfing, I always try to be just Moira with my style".
