Surfer’s Bay has always been
known for its tropical beaches and huge surfing waves, but it has recently undergone
a total transformation and also moved to a brand-new map location. The new sim called ‘Surfer’s Bay VIP’ has been
inspired by the real-life island of Bali and dotted along the coastline you
will find bamboo forests, Balinese temple ruins, jungle areas and white sandy
beaches, plus you can now walk, surf or sail around the entire sim.
Inland, you can dance the night
away at the new bar and lounge which have been carved out of the mountainside
while listening to the renowned regular DJ’s or relax in a peaceful secluded
area before getting lost in the crystal caverns that run deep under the sim. As
before, this incarnation of Surfer’s Bay also has two Maoli Tahiti Break surf
waves, but at the new sim, the surfing area is larger, allowing SL surfers a
longer and smoother ride.
“Surfing is the main focus of the
new Surfer’s Bay VIP sim and the waves were the first thing we rezzed here,”
explains Duncan Blackburn, owner of Surfer’s Bay VIP. “The rest of the sim was
built around the waves and they are given far more space than at the previous
sim. I welcome all SL surfers and hope that they TP over, rezz their boards and
enjoy the rest of the sim too.”
Surfer’s Bay VIP requires group
membership, but this is free until 9 May. Membership allows rezz rights and you
can rezz your board anywhere on sim or use the C-3 rezzer.
