Follow the wave of surf-related activities this weekend.
It's an action packed weekend full of fun, sun, music, and most importantly surfing! As always, be sure to follow SurfWatch for all the events happening around the grid!
Friday: The Pre-Competition Gathering hosted by Gia Villano
Everyone is invited to attend the Pre-Competition Gathering hosted by Gia Villano. The day before each competition, Villano will try to entertain the members of the SL Surfing Association (SLSA) with a different show and theme. Last month, for the C-3 Competition hosted at Bluff Cove, Gia dressed in her best fire demon costume and danced for the gathering crowds. It is quickly becoming a beloved tradition that many surfers feel brings them extra luck.
Join competitive surfer, Gia Villano at Chi at 5:00pm SLT to gather alongside other competitors and fans as we kick the weekend off right.

Saturday: The SLSA SSi Shortboard Competition at Chi
The fourth competition in this five part season begins at 2:00pm SLT on Saturday, November 18th. Fans and competitive surfers are asked to report to the stands just before the competition. Fans will get a chance to sit near the competitors and wish them luck as they compete for scores that may determine their standing this season.
Join two-time championship hopeful, Moira as she takes the waves and makes her way into the SL History books with Kris Marley and Gia Villano close behind. It's going to be an exciting day! Good Luck SLurfers! We'll be cheering you on from the stands.

Sunday: SurfWatch's SURFELLA'17 Music Festival
The day has finally arrived! The SurfWatch event, Surfella'17 is here! Head down to Shagwong Cove to walk along the boardwalk of Surfella. Take in the sights of the scenic beach while collecting information on all the surf community has to offer. You'll find 4 large tents filled with all the exciting ways you can participate in surfing, beyond just getting on a board. The new Revolution surf system will be there, along with a newly forming media group specializing in surf videos. And of course, the surfing staples, SLSA and SurfWatch will have informative and entertaining tents.
When you're done signing up for the various activities, peruse the tables and learn all about the stunning sims that offer surf waves, venues to get married, and of course lots of shopping! SurfWatch even set up some fun photo ops for you and your friends, courtesy of ReImagined. Pose in our very own photo booth that places YOU on the cover of SurfWatch.
Music lovers are also in for a special treat when some of Second Life's biggest performers take the stage to entertain you, surrounded by gorgeous waves rolling beside the decks. This is an event beachgoers will be talking about for years to come! Don't you dare miss it!
Overflow sims are in place to accommodate the crowds. Get there early so you get a good spot!
