Fruit Islands

Submitted by Dillan Munro

Those who enjoy water-oriented activities beyond surfing, including boating, sailing, scuba diving, jet skiing and wind surfing will find heaven in the group of 120 connected Sims known primarily as the Fruit Islands. Marinas to dock your boat abound, and there are large areas of water unencumbered with any land at all for open boating. Sailboat races are frequent, and several boat stores are located within, giving the sailor plenty of high end boat options.

Additionally, private planes and helicopters have unrestricted airspace there, which provide a very scenic way to tour the beautiful lands.

When you tire of the sun and water, as if anyone would, there are other opportunities as well on shore including dancing, live music, quiet cafes, and sight seeing options including castles. The literally hundreds of islands are inhabited mostly by those with a love for water, and in fact it is so appealing my partner and I bought our own private island there.

There are at least two beaches contained in the complex that offer surfing, Bumrose Beach and Frozen Banana. Frozen Banana is the larger of the two, with waves that start at one end of the sim and continue on to the narrow beach at the other end. Bumrose beach provides more beach, and adult activities are allowed and encouraged there, as opposed to Frozen Banana which is more family oriented.

Bumrose provides many little hideaways for lovers to experience each other somewhat privately, and of course is an Adult land. There is a small lagoon as you make your way through the jungle from the main beach, with plenty of places for cuddling, and more, as well as some tree top facilities with great views.

Frozen Banana is a General Sim, so keep your suits on and your hands to yourself ! The waves are above average, and the scenery is great with plenty of waterfalls and gentle beaches to relax on. A volleyball net can be found back in a secluded bay, with lounges and umbrellas to break the sun. There's a board rezzer and even a landing strip if you should happen to fly your plane in.

Look for the adult marina, where there are plenty of exploratory spots for the adventurous. Shops, pools, lounges and other risque locations are scattered throughout. Be wary of lag here, as there are many high quality yachts with large script counts.

One could literally spend weeks exploring this area, and I for one plan to do just that !
